Instagram Account | Business or Personal?
A new Instagram profile update is taking effect December 11th and now is the perfect time to turn your personal Instagram account into a business account. Why? If you love using planning apps as much as we do (more about that below), you will have to be a Business profile to use this feature.
Maybe you’re on the fence about taking on a second Instagram account, or you like mixing business with pleasure and want to keep work (and your kid pictures) private and only available to people you approve. Stop worrying about managing multiple accounts and start thinking about what is best for your business. It’s time to make the shift to a business account now and here are five great reasons:
1 | The Insights for a business account are, well, insightful. Some would say they are worth their weight in gold. You can see who your audience is, where they live, when they are online, engagement activity, and so much more. You are missing out on amazing data.
2 | Your business profile includes contact buttons, such as Directions, Book, Email, Call. You can even add buttons to buy tickets to an event, among many other contact options.
3) Once you hit 10,000 followers you can add clickable links to your Stories. Money.
4) You can run Instagram ads from within the app. Super easy and totally manageable.
5) You can only plan and schedule posts on planning apps if you have a business account! While we love social media for marketing our small business, we don’t want to get to the point where social media is managing us. Which is why we HIGHLY recommend a planning app. Our two favorites?
This is so important, friends! You will only be able to use Instagram Scheduling tools with a correctly set-up Instagram Business Profile and Facebook Business Page. It’s time for you to make the switch.
